All of these issues have led to the recognition that an overhaul is needed. The Assembly made the kickoff of this process one of the top priorities of 2009. The borough planning division has committed to undertake this effort and is leading the public review of our zoning regulations.

The Zoning Ordinance Update process includes workshops, review meetings and hearings on the proposed ordinance text prior to final adoption. Extensive opportunity for public participation in the form of information workshops and public hearings, as well as regular postings on the borough’s web pages, will be integral to the process.
